The ”divine” revolt of seemingly unvalued things in Art. The art of everyday life!
Emerged in the 1950s, during the Mass Production, Pop Art (short for Popular Art) movement has created a major turning point in the flow of Modern Art by using material from popular culture and mass media such as advertisements, movies, comic books and mundane mass-produced items. Pop Art seeks to blur the line between ‘elite and high art’ and “popular and low culture’. This revolution broke academic principles and notions, by such contributed to the transition between modern and contemporary art.
The event brings a chance for the audience to learn about one of the most famous movements in the art history through the conversation with Trần Lương and moderator – Dr. Nguyễn Đức Thành
*The event is organized by APD Center for Art Patronage and Development, with the support from UPGen Vietnam.
